Michelle D. Millard

Michelle Millard has been practicing law with Ogilvie LLP, a mid-size Edmonton law firm founded in 1920, since her admission to the Alberta Bar in 1995. She obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1991 and her Bachelor of Laws degree in 1994, both from the University of Alberta.

A former Chair of the Canadian Bar Associations Wills and Estates and Business Law Sections, she is also a member of the Taxation section. Michelle currently acts as a board member of the Estate Planning Council and is a member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners. Her involvement with the Legal Education Society of Alberta includes a recent presentation on Employment Law Considerations in the Purchase and Sale of a Business. She also served several years as an instructor with Grant MacEwan College’s Legal Assistant Program, lecturing on wills and estates procedures.
Michelle is currently a member of the Board of Family Centre and a parent representative on the school council at Campbelltown Elementary School. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Edmonton Junior Chamber (JayCees). Michelle has also volunteered as a tutor with the Prospects Literacy Association, acted as an advisor in the Junior Achievement Company Program and participated in various other activities with Junior Achievement.
