Bard Golightly has over 25 years of experience including real estate development, land acquisition and assembly, financing, zoning, sales and marketing support, project design and property management.

An action oriented individual with a passion for advancing the quality of urban development, Bard’s primary focus has been on multi-family housing in the community context.

In the past 5 years Bard has applied the lens of sustainability to his development work, moving from enhanced built forms to sustainable community initiatives. Bard has a track record of advancing progressive developments by creating an integrated development approach with municipalities creating a process where the public and private sector are essentially “co-developing” significant projects. Bard is committed to establishing an environment that allows for open collaboration and negotiation which is essential to creating a plan which will result in innovation and a legacy for a development.

Current projects underway:

*A 12 acre, $245,000,000 mixed use “Town Centre” project which includes multi-family housing and retail uses, District Energy System, and an advanced water conservation system. Approximately 680 residential units and 60,000 sq.ft. CRU;
*A 50 acre $600,000,000 Sustainable Urban Neighborhood Pilot Project. Fully integrated Urban Village including mix of 1600+ residential units and 200,000 sq.ft. CRU;

    Bard is actively working on Environmental Sustainability practices, Urban Design, Housing Affordability and Seniors Housing issues by participating on several related committees:
